Run (or walk) for Portsmouth Museums at the Bunny Hop 5K

The Bunny Hop 5k & 1 Mile Family Fun Run is a family-friendly event where participants can enjoy a flat, fast, picturesque course along the Portsmouth Waterfront and fun activities afterward. All proceeds benefit the mission of the Portsmouth Museums Foundation, Inc.

The 12th Annual Bunny Hop will be on April 3, 2027. There will be a 5K, 1 Mile Family Fun, and Virtual Run. Registration is now open!

This family-friendly event encourages participants to dress in their finest “spring” running gear, have their faces painted, dance to music, and enjoy a post run snack.

Observing the sheer joy, excitement, curiosity, and fun of children and their parents having the ability to explore and participate in hands-on activities that enhance learning while visiting the Children’s Museum with our adopted grandson, Dimitri, opened our eyes to the need for such a facility locally. Dimitri’s fascination with the train exhibit and touring Molly the Train caused us to plan many visits for him.
